Amy Revier, a senior art major in Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts, has received a prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student fellowship to study in Iceland and work in the studio of internationally recognized sculptor and textile artist Hildur Bjarnadóttir in Reykjavik from September 2009 through August 2010.
Ms. Revier’s time will be devided between Bjarnadóttir’s studio and traveling through the country. She plans to weave and work on large-scale sculpture and textile pieces.
Ms. Revier is an Austin native. She will earn a Bachelor’s degree in Art from SMU in May. Ms. Revier will be showing at the McKinney Avenue Contemporary starting May 9, 2009.
