From Press Release
Hair by Charlie, a full-service hair salon owned by Charlie Price, has moved from its downtown Dallas loft locale to an intimate space in Uptown, well-known for trendy shops, hot restaurants and spicy nightlife. The eclectic and stylish salon will celebrate with a grand opening party on Thursday, June 25 from 8-11 p.m. Charlie’s parties are a much-anticipated event, and this one will be no exception. Well-known DJ Parker Lawson will stand behind the turntables while guests sip Belvedere Vodka cocktails, mingle, and bid on various auction items to benefit The McKinney Avenue Contemporary (MAC), a Dallas non-profit art space that advocates freedom of creativity and experimentation of art in all disciplines. The grand opening event is complimentary. Hair by Charlie is located at 2906 McKinney Avenue. For further information, please call 214.303.1799 or visit www.hairbycharlie.com.
Located in a whimsically chic house, the new hair boutique’s atmosphere is charming and comfortable – a home away from home – with funky accents, fresh flowers, sunlit rooms, and hardwood floors. Offering a full range of salon services including cut, color, and styling, Charlie and his team, Billy Halliday and Kelsey Holliday, continue to provide the best in service, style and therapy . . . not just for the hair but for the client.
Therapy? That’s right. Charlie is not only a hair connoisseur but also a therapist in the broadest sense. He is genuine and sincere, an attentive listener who always seems to know the right things to say, and full of positive energy. Not only will your tresses look amazing after your appointment, but your spirit will also feel amazing. This magic touch sets Hair by Charlie apart from the other salons. As Charlie likes to say, “Leave the pretentiousness behind.”
The Uptown salon matches Charlie’s personality. It’s where tattoos, lace, and rollers all mix and mingle in a welcoming environment. It’s sexy and pure, vintage and contemporary. “Fabulous Grape” walls accented with two antique oversize mirrors frame six hair stations in the front of the house. The rear lounge features black and white Damask Parisian wallpaper, matching pillows, and two distinctive black contemporary lighting fixtures. An inviting patio for gossiping and relaxation in the shade provides an ideal procrastination opportunity before leaving to flaunt the new do.
