Edge of Abstraction

The El Paso Museum of Art (EPMA) opens Edge of Abstraction on Sunday, July 5. Edge of Abstraction is a permanent collection exhibition exploring our fascination with abstraction in the 20th century. The exhibit attempts to question what abstract art is and why it is important to art history. The exhibit also includes many recent EPMA acquisitions.

EPMA will open Edge of Abstraction to the public from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009. This is a great chance to meet some of the local artists featured in the exhibit. This event is free to the public. Visit the EPMA web site for more information at www.elpasotexas.gov/art.
