El Paso Public Art Committee Looking for Members

The City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) is currently looking for interested individuals to serve on the Public Art Committee (PAC). Those eligible to apply include representatives of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, Construction, Development Industries, Visual Artists, Curators, Art Historians, Art Critics, and Arts Advocates or Collectors. Upon review by the Cultural Affairs Advisory Board (CAAB), two (2) new members will be appointed to join the committee of nine (9) and guide the development and implementation of the El Paso Public Art Program. This is a volunteer opportunity; members do not receive compensation.

About the PAC

The PAC meets every last Tuesday of the month from 3:30pm to 6:00pm. Members serve staggered terms from the date of appointment and are eligible to serve two, three year-consecutive terms (total of 6 years). During their term, PAC members adopt rules and regulations for the governance and proceedings, which are consistent with the charter or ordinances of the City of El Paso. Candidates are not to hold any public offices of honor trust or profit in the government of the City or County during their term of office.
