Free Family Festival at Kimbell Art Museum

From Press Release

An exciting afternoon of hands-on activities and interactive storytelling awaits families at the Kimbell Art Museum’s Family Festival, Saturday, August 1, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Connect art and alphabet through playful word games and hands-on activities inspired by artists, materials, and ideas relating to the Kimbell’s permanent collection. Frans Hals’ The Rommel Pot Player and Gerrit Dou’s A Dentist by Candlelight are just two of the paintings that will inspire children to create artworks of their own.

Storyteller Peggy Bott-Kirby, a Texas Commission of the Arts/Arts in Education Artist, will be featured at the event.

Reservations are not required. Promotional support is provided by American Airlines and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
