Mark Goodwin Trio to Jazz up Kimbell After Hours
Posted Tuesday, July 28, 2009
From Press Release
Invite your friends to listen to live jazz and sip a cool cocktail in the beautiful setting of the Kimbell Art Museum on Saturday, August 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event features music by the Mark Goodwin Trio, docent tours, gift giveaways, light hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar (featuring this month’s signature cocktail—the “Blood Orange,” plus wine and beer).
Inspired by filmmaker Philip Haas’s feature film The Blood Oranges (1997), the “Blood Orange” cocktail complements the Museum’s current exhibition, Butchers, Dragons, Gods & Skeletons: Film Installations by Philip Haas Inspired by Works in the Permanent Collection.
“After Hours at the Kimbell” is free for Museum members; nonmembers pay $10 at the door. Reservations are not needed.
