Dallas Filmmaker Todd Kent Documents Cadillac Ranch Sponsor Stanley Marsh 3

Writer, producer and documentary filmmaker Todd Kent recently turned me on to his short YouTube.com video, Road Does Not End (2006), of Cadillac Ranch (1974) sponsor Stanley Marsh 3. Cadillac Ranch is a public art installation in Amarillo, Texas, consisting on ten Cadillac automobiles buried nose down with only the back half showing above ground. Mr. Kent’s seven minute video nicely documents Mr. Marsh’s ideology as an artist.

Todd Kent

Todd Kent majored in radio, television and film from the University of North Texas. Since graduating in 2000, Mr. Kent has been an independent documentary filmmaker. His first documentary short, Fast Food (2003), was a whimsical look at product mobiles like the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile, Hershey’s Kissmobile and SpamMobile.

Mr. Kent’s latest documentary feature, Comic Book Literacy (2010), is scheduled to screen in February at the Dallas Museum of Art.
