CitySolve Urban Race Returns to Dallas on April 2nd

A portion of each registration will benefit the Dallas Arts District. Dallas participants are encouraged to sign up using discount code ‘dad2011’ to save $15 on registration.

CitySolve Urban Race is an urban adventure game where teams solve pop culture type clues to find hidden checkpoints and face exciting challenges using only public transportation and foot!

Building upon its local success of engaging competitors in an urban adventure race that tests both the mind and body, CitySolve Urban Race is about to begin a twenty-two-city national urban race series and will be in Dallas starting from the AT&T Performing Arts Center Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at noon.

During each event, teams will be led through an exhilarating adventure race that CitySolve Urban Race promises to deliver. Teams will be asked to answer an eclectic group of questions – from pop culture to math equations (nothing to complex) – in order to reach the next checkpoint. The participants will also be asked to complete exciting challenges along the way – from throwing a strike in bowling to listening and naming a song title or artist. At each checkpoint, teams will take a picture of themselves. Teams must repeat the process of solving clues, finding checkpoints, and taking a picture at a total of 10 locations. Teams are only allowed to travel by foot or public transportation to each checkpoint.

The first team to return to the finish line at One Arts Plaza and successfully solve all the clues and challenges is declared the winner. The winning team will win $300 and free entry to the national championship race on November 5, 2011 in Las Vegas. The top 25 teams in each race will be eligible to compete in the 3rd annual CitySolve Urban Race national championship. The grand prize for this race will be $5,000.
