Spring Gallery Night ’11
Casa Mañana Gallery
March 26 through April 24, 2011
Opening reception is Saturday, March 26, 2011, from 5 to 9 p.m.
“The House of Tomorrow” Gallery is a must see on your list of stops on Gallery Night. The Casa Mañana Gallery in association with Casa Mañana Theatre continues its season with the Spring 2011 Gallery Night Show. The exposition is a juried compilation of works from artists from across the DFW area that represent the gallery’s mission to showcase “tomorrow’s art today” by unrepresented local talent in the heart of Fort Worth’s Cultural District.
A call for entries was sent out to a hundred plus artists. “Go big” was part of the call, so you will see some large pieces including an eight foot by four foot watercolor and some immense sculptural installations. The twenty plus foot ceiling and vast floor space in Casa Mañana’s Lobby Gallery is reminiscent of some of New York City’s warehouse galleries that allow for the viewing of massive works of contemporary art.
“The Fort Worth Art Dealer’s Association (FWADA) invites you to take-in the visual arts and our community’s unique cultural richness during Spring Gallery Night on Saturday, March 26, 2011. Come take a stroll through participating galleries, museums, retail businesses, and area restaurants, and enjoy the many artists featured during this community event. Gallery Night is free and open to the public.” See fwada.org for more venues and information about the night.
The Casa Mañana Gallery is located in the lobby of Casa Mañana Theatre in the heart of the Cultural District at 3101 West Lancaster Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76107.
Gallery Hours after the opening reception are an hour before each performance at Casa Mañana Theatre and by appointment only. Contact Gallery Director, Simone Riford at 808-256-9632.
