Dallas’ premiere performing and visual art space, the McKinney Avenue Contemporary (The MAC) and it’s Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Director, Lisa Hees. Lisa Hees has been with the MAC since May 2010 starting as Assistant Director. The former MAC Director, Liliana Bloch, resigned in April due to health reasons.
Lisa Hees earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from UT Arlington in December of 2009. She has exhibited artwork in the UTA Gallery West and was recognized with the Outstanding Senior Award for research in art history by the chair of the UT Arlington Art and Art History department. From 2008 to 2009, Ms. Hees served as Treasurer for the UTA Art History Student Union. In addition to her studies at UT Arlington she studied for a semester at the University of Leicester in Leicester, England.

Established in 1994, The McKinney Avenue Contemporary (The MAC) is a nonprofit organization that stands as a Dallas advocate for creative freedom offering the opportunity for experimentation and presentation of art in all disciplines. It supports the emerging and established artist roll in society providing a forum for critical dialogue with their audiences.
