Bring your favorite four-legged family member to participate in the first Doggies in the District during Art in October’s closing celebrations on Sunday, October 30, and let your dog experience the arts too! Enjoy a puppy paw print art-making activity, participate in Doga – yoga with your dog, let your pooch shine while being photographed as an artist in our Pawcasso photo shoot, and enter your best friend in a doggie costume contest! Throughout the district, enjoy a variety of food vendors, costume-themed festivities, street performances, and activities.
The DMA will also be hosting a Carnival of Creativity in celebration of Art in October with FREE general admission from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Families can discover a wide variety of art while participating in an art-making activity inspired by the African Headdresses exhibition, enjoy music from the Mariachis Rosas Divinas, watch performances, enjoy an artist demonstration with John Bramblitt, participate in costume contests, family tours, sketching in the galleries, and more.
