Quintanilla stages his provocative photographs to juxtapose past with present and to reinterpret popular images from the history of art. His tableau photography work is influenced by artists of the Renaissance such as Leonardo Da Vinci as well as contemporary artists such as David LaChapelle and continually seeks to push the boundaries of the norm in the cultural realm.
Quintanilla studied at the Art Institute of Phoenix form 2001-2003 and at Arizona State University in 2004. In 2010 a collection of his work was published in the book entitled Complicated Artists.
