Art Fair of Texas 2012: Private to Public
Exposition Park near Fair Park
October 5 through October 21, 2012

The Art Fair of Texas is opening their inaugural exhibit with a survey of works by Fred Villanueva. The exhibit, Private to Public, is an independent studio gallery show. Works by Villanueva will include paintings, drawings and sculpture installations. The exhibit opens Friday, October 5, 2012, with a reception from 6-10 p.m. The Art Fair of Texas is located at 3203 Ash Lane in Exposition Park.

Fred Villanueva

Fred Villanueva is a New York artist who was born on the Oak Cliff section of Dallas. He attended the nationally acclaimed Arts Magnet at Booker T. Washington High School for Performing and Visual Arts. Villanueva earned a BFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1995. He finished his last year independently in New York City through Parsons School of Design.

Private to Public marks Villanueva’s solo debut in Dallas. His work will be a return to serially produced steel sculptures and installation like Steel Tee-Pees for D, Inverted Tee-Pee and Buried di Suvero.

Additional artists presented include Eamon Ore-Giron, Alexander Di Julio, Dennis Oppenheim, and others.

The Art Fair of Texas is located at 3203 Ash Lane, Dallas. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday by appointment, Saturday and Sunday from noon till 5 p.m., and Thursdays from 1 till 7 p.m.
