Insights Science Center Closes Permanently on December 15

The Board of Directors of Insights El Paso Science Center announces that the institution will be closing permanently at the Santa Fe Street location on Saturday, December 15, 2012. 

Insights is fully committed to continue serving children and families of El Paso, and is currently working on a transition plan that includes a “Museum without Walls” concept.  Details are pending.  To celebrate over three decades of service to the El Paso community, the public is invited to enjoy the museum free of charge on closing day between the hours 10:00a.m. and 4:00p.m. Free parking is available in the City Hall parking lot.

Founded in 1980, Insights’ mission remains the same today – to inspire and stimulate the creative exploration of science through engaging and interactive exhibits and programs that reveal the wonder of science, math and technology.  Insights has provided 32 years of continual service to El Paso.  Insights is a private not-for-profit 501(c)(3) entity that relies solely on monetary contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations.
