Klyde Warren Park Announces Holiday Celebration in the Park

Klyde Warren Park has announce their Holiday Celebration in the Park. The event will be Saturday, December 15, 2012, from noon to 6 p.m. The celebration will include crafts for kids, photos with Santa, food donations, music and tree lights. This event is free and open to the public.

Schedule of Events

  • 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. Kids crafts
  • 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Photos with Santa: Bring four cans of food to donate to the North Texas Food Bank and get a photo with Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and the North Pole elves.
  • 12:00 p.m. Arts District Chorale
  • 1:00 p.m. First Baptist Dallas Day One Band
  • 3:00 p.m. Dallas Youth Ballet and The Conservatory C.A.S.T. Performance
  • 5:00 p.m. Music by Dallas-based pop artist, Bean
  • 6:00 p.m. Tree Lighting

Klyde Warren Park has other seasonal events planned throughout the month of December. There will be musical performances by the Hunt Brass Quartet, the Hillcrest High School Orchestra, Nick Ballarini, Yancey Stevens & the City Slickers, The Texas Twisters and Razzmajazz Holiday Trio. Klyde Warren Park serves as a central gathering space for Dallas residents and visitors to enjoy in the heart of the city. The 5.2-acre deck park, designed by the Office of James Burnett, creates an urban green space over the existing Woodall Rodgers Freeway between Pearl and St. Paul Streets in Downtown Dallas. The park includes a performance pavilion, restaurant, shaded walking paths, a dog park, children’s park, great lawn, water features, and an area for games providing year round activities.
