The San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA) has announced a special trip to Washington, D.C. with curator David S. Rubin. The trip will visit museums, galleries and private collections with Rubin as your guide. The trip will be April 18-21, 2013.
The featured exhibition will be Nam June Paik: Global Visionary at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
This museum package will cost $1868 per person for double occupancy (based on a minimum of 15 attendees). A single occupancy is an extra $300. The package includes round-trip airfare, three nights at Hotel Rouge, ground transportation and on-site travel coordinator. There is a $150 non-refundable deposit required to sign-up.
The package includes a $300 tax deductible donation to the San Antonio Museum of Art Contemporaries.

Nam June Paik
Nam June Paik (1932-2006) was a Korean American artist. Paik worked with various media including neon and video. He is considered to be one of the first video artists. Paik is credited with coining the term super highway as related to telecommunications.
Nam June Paik: Global Visionary is on view at the American Art Museum in Washington, D.C., from December 13, 2012, until August 11, 2013. The exhibit includes 67 artworks and more than 140 archive items. Several important works have been borrowed from the exhibition including TV Garden (1974/2000) from the Solomon R. Gugenheim Museum.
