Romare Bearden: A Black Odyssey

May 18 through August 11, 2013

This week I got to preview Romare Bearden: A Black Odyssey at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. The works on exhibit are from Bearden’s Illiad and Odyssey series done in 1977-78. This is another stellar exhibition at the Amon Carter following on the heels of Big Pictures, which closed in April.

Walkabout art reporter Tanya Miller will be doing the definitive review later. She is viewing the exhibition this weekend.

I just wanted to bring Romare Bearden to your attention as an exhibition not to be missed. It is only open through August 11, 2013, which will be hear before you know it. So, do make plans to visit the Fort Worth Arts District and see this wonderful collection of Bearden works.
