TVAA Signature Exhibition
December 14, 2013 through January 11, 2014
Opening Reception is Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 7 to 10 p.m.
LuminArté Gallery presents a distinguished group of Texas based artists in the next TVAA Signature Artists exhibition, which opens on December 14th with a reception from 7-10pm, and runs through January 11th, 2014. Both the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public; and many artists will be in attendance.
The Texas Visual Arts Association inspires communication and cooperation between artists and the Dallas community by providing multi-media exhibitions, and by offering educational workshops, seminars, and tours of major museums and private collections. The TVAA has sponsored the development of the Dallas Arts District though promoting creative community involvement, including an annual High School Show that spotlights the works of local art students. The recent High School Show 2013 exhibition featured over 960 artworks.
A select few artists have achieved the special status of TVAA Signature Membership, which is an honor worthy of the time and dedication involved in reaching that goal. To qualify, an artist must be an active member and be chosen to show in five juried TVAA exhibitions, a status that may take several years to accomplish.
This year’s TVAA Signature selection includes Artyce Colen, Cecilia Thurman, David Blow, Marie D. Van Arsdale, Elisabeth Schalij, Gisa Elwazir, Austin Craver, Jane Cornish Smith, Lori Cusick, Bob Nunn, Marie Renfro, Barbara Elam, Marilyn EitzenJones, Celine Raphael-Leygues, Ann Pearle, Martha Box, Pat Kochan, Karin Michele Anderson, John Voelker, Penelope Bisbee, Betsy Daves Bass, Jackie Maclelland, Jean E McIntosh, Brenda McKinney, Julianne Biehl, Silvia Thornton, Peg Roselund, Madeleine Terry, Judy Buckner and Sheila Cunningham.
