CSI Family Day
The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza
Sunday, March 9, 2014 from noon to 5 p.m.

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is presenting CSI Family Day today from noon to 5 p.m. This is one of many events commemorating the museums 25th anniversary.  Don’t miss Living History with Pan Am stewardess Kari-Mette Pigmans on Saturday, March 29, 2014.

CSI Family Day

The Sixth Floor Museum will give aspiring crime scene investigators a chance to learn modern investigative techniques for solving crime during the eighth annual CSI Family Day on Sunday, March 9, from noon until 5 p.m. Visitors will investigate a mock crime scene, receive a police report about what happened, and perform forensic analysis at evidence stations. The event is suitable for children eight years and older, their parents and anyone interested in crime scene investigation and analysis. CSI Family Day is an additional $5 with paid Museum admission ($16 adults, $14 for seniors 65+, and $13 for youths 6-18).

The program is a partnership with the Dallas Police Department, the University of North Texas Forensic Science Program, and UNT’s Forensic Science Club. Students from the UNT program will be on hand to teach others the skills and knowledge they have learned in classes and labs. Tickets may be purchased at www.jfk.org  or onsite.

Living History with Kari-Mette Pigmans

Kari-Mette Pigmans, whose Living History program last December was cancelled due to bad weather, has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29. Pigmans was a Pan Am stewardess aboard the White House press plane in the early 1960s and had met President Kennedy several times. She was at Dallas Love Field at the time of the assassination. Admission is $5 with Museum admission or $10 for the program only. Seating is limited; advance tickets are available at www.jfk.org.

Death by Holga: 11.22.63

While at The Sixth Floor Museum, check out a copy of Death by Holga: 11.22.63 by our very own walkabout photographer Mr. Holga. Death by Holga is a collection of the people, places and things associated with the Kenned assassination. Mr. Holga trekked all over Dallas, Fort Worth, Texas and our nation to find bits of JFK history. Death by Holga was published by Dallas Art Press.

Death by Holga is available in The Sixth Floor Museum Store + Café, online at Amazon.com and at deathbyholga.com
