Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth Announces Free Admission on Art Museum Day

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth will honor the Association of Art Museum Directors‘ Art Museum Day with free admission to both the permanent collection and the special exhibition FOCUS: Rirkrit Tiravanija. Art Museum Day is Sunday, May 18, 2014. The Modern will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Activities include an architecture tour at 11 a.m. and a permanent collection tour at 2 p.m. Museum docents will be stationed throughout the museum from noon to 2 p.m.

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is one of nearly 120 Association of Art Museum Directors member museums celebrating this event. This year’s event coincides with International Museum Day.

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is located in the Fort Worth Arts District at 3200 Darnell Street, Fort Worth, Texas. Museum hours are Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults (13 years plus) and $4 for students and seniors (60 plus).
