The Nasher Sculpture Center announced The Great Create, their third annual fundraising event. The Great Create is Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 1 to 4 p.m. The event, which engages families artistic sides, raises essential funds for the museum’s educational initiatives.

The Great Create: By Artists. For Kids celebrates youth art education and features an afternoon of hands-on art activities in the Nasher Garden. The activities are led by local and world-renowned artists. There will be live entertainment and kid-friendly food. The event is geared for children twelve and under. Teens ages thirteen and up are invited to assist the younger artists.

Proceeds from The Great Create will enable the Nasher Sculpture Center to provide youth education programs throughout the year. Programs include 3:01 Club After-school Program, Summer Institute for Teens and free tours for students. Education programs account for a third of the Centers yearly attendance.
