The Video Association of Dallas has announced its first five selected programs for VideoFest 25. VideoFest 25 will be Sept. 27-30, 2012 at its original home, the Dallas Museum of Art, 1717 N. Harwood St. in downtown Dallas. VideoFest will feature over 150 programs over the four days. VideoFest is now the oldest and largest video festival in the United States, and continues to garner critical and popular acclaim.

The Dallas Film Society, an organization that celebrates films and their impact on society, has named Lee Papert as the new president and chief executive officer. The announcement was made by Lynn McBee, chairman of the board of directors. Papert brings with him over 20 years business experience and 12 years development and marketing experience in the nonprofit arena.
The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza will screen Zapruder and Stolley: Witness to an Assassination (a Roger Sherman film). The screening will be on Saturday, November 19 at 2 p.m.

Cadillac Ranch is a public art installation in Amarillo, Texas, consisting on ten Cadillac automobiles buried nose down with only the back half showing above ground. Mr. Kent’s seven minute video nicely documents Mr. Marsh’s ideology as an artist.
