Richland College Announces First Annual Rose Award for Ceramic Innovation Show

Richland College selected ceramicist Amy Halko to judge the first annual Rose Award for Ceramic Innovation (RACI) show. This is a new Dallas Country Community College District (DCCCD) exhibit featuring ceramics and sculpture. The RACI show will be held April 5-18, 2014 at the Janette Kennedy Gallery Southside on Lamar St., Dallas. The reception is April 8 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Mayor Mike Rawlings to Kick-off Dallas Arts Week

Mayor Mike Rawlings and the City of Dallas Cultural Affairs Commission will kick-off the 2nd annual Dallas Arts Week at the Dallas City Hall on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at noon. Dallas Arts Week is April 5 through April 13, 2014. The week will feature more than 100 arts and cultural events in venues all over Dallas.

LuminArte Gallery Presents Surrealism of the 21st Century

Surrealism of the 21st Century at LuminArte Gallery features numerous Texas artists, including Breck Outland, Francisco Javier, Magi Calhoun, Morgan Grasham, Rick Timmons and Merry Fuhrer. Local Surrealists will accompany an international group of artists in a presentation of LUSO-AMERICAN Surrealism, which is a continuation of a series of exhibitions relating to Portuguese artist, Santiago Ribeiro´s project “International Surrealism Now.”

Pyramid Restaurant and Trinity West Fine Art Create Partnership

The Pyramid Restaurant is pleased to announce a new partnership with Trinity West Fine Art, a division of Art Dallas, Inc. located in the Dallas Design District. Dedicated to promoting North Texas art and artists, Trinity West Fine Art was established in 2013 by gallery owners Judith and John Martin. Inspired by The Pyramid Restaurant’s location in the heart of the Dallas Arts District, the partnership features a rotation of paintings by local artists Robert Dye and Molly DeVoss, which are on view throughout the restaurant courtesy of Trinity West Fine Art.

Conduit Gallery Celebrates 30 Years

Conduit Gallery is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, 2014. Along with a scheduled list of exhibitions for the year, there will be special, curated exhibitions during the summer to examine and highlight work by artists who have shown with the gallery since its inception in 1984.
